Students Awards

Every year staff, students, and community members come together to enjoy a special evening acknowledging the positive achievements made by Central West TAFE students.
Welcoming everyone to the event, Mr. Bert Beevers, Managing Director of Central West TAFE, talks about trends in Vocational Education and Training, successful training programs conducted throughout the year in partnership with Carnarvon industry and congratulates the students on their achievements.
Mr. John Smoker, Gascoyne Academic Director, addresses the group and talks about future training needs and opportunities for Central West TAFE and the Carnarvon community to work together to meet them in light of the demanding skills and labour shortage being experienced both locally – and throughout Western Australia.

Gascoyne Eco Tours Practice Firm

Central West TAFE Carnarvon campus Practice Firm is called Gascoyne Eco Tours Practice Firm (or GET PF). GET PF endeavours to reflect the work done in a Tourist Bureau. It promotes the Gascoyne Region by selling tours and souvenirs.
Our partner is the Carnarvon Visitor Centre.

Virtual Business

On campus classes are delivered in a Virtual Business which belongs to the Australian Network of Practice Firms.
Pratice Firms are virtual businesses created in TAFEs and high schools which give students the opportunity to learn hands on all skills and knowledge required to work in an office.
There are over 140 virtual businesses all across Australia trading with each other.

Central West TAFE

Central West TAFE is based in Geraldton with campuses in Carnarvon and Exmouth. Central West TAFE endeavours to deliver courses in all remote areas of the Midwest while the Carnarvon campus services the Gascoyne.
Central West TAFE delivers Certificates I II III in Business Administration.
These qualifications will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to
undertake customer service, simple computing tasks and basic administrative
support within an office environment.
